A Monumental Collection of Stories in Bronze

The Concho River Legacy Trail will feature a series of major narrative vignettes, each portraying an important chapter in the story of the Concho River Valley. Each storytelling group of sculptures is being created by a master sculptor, known for excellence in figurative and wildlife art.

• Buffalo Soldiers of Fort Concho

• Chuckwagons and trail cooks

• Sheep herds and shepherds

• Texas Rangers

• Pioneer families and sod house life

• Prairie wildlife including buffalo, deer, coyotes, and wild turkeys

• Prairie burial scenes

• And additional vignettes that express the vibrant spirit of the region
